Match Report
The Seniors went in riding the high of the first game, but Old Camberwell made it clear they meant business, leading up until the fourth quarter. Three points behind at half time the under 12 Dragons joined the team in the change rooms to give some valuable feedback.
Keen to give budding Renegades something to aspire to Deputy Vice Captain Felicity Smith led from the front, sneaking into the 50 to snap a goal from what looked like the cricket nets! A well deserved play of the game.
Kate Mad Dog Sullivan stepped out of her usual midfield position to give us a show in the forward line, and she certainly didn’t fail to deliver a theatrical performance. Despite dry conditions, it appears it was still difficult to keep a steady gait with some spectacular stacks from double goal kicker Palombi.
Amy Dillon showed us what a force she can be in full forward with a snappy goal, and Disco InFerno continues to amaze us with her surprisingly long arms, despite her considerably short legs scoring another spectacular goal.
Jury is still out on who has the steadiest hands in the team between the cool calm and collected back liner Andie Bleicher, and gravity defying Tahlia Hayes. Both continue to bring their A game every week.
The momentum coming into the fourth quarter proved to be too much for the opposition with the Prems walking away with a 10 point win.
