Match Report
Brunswick Renegades celebrated two massive wins this Sunday across the border and along the Monash. The reserves hit the field first with most of the play and possessions staying with Brunswick throughout the game. They were winning the bulk of the stoppages and linking the ball up quickly and moving it down to the forward line. An early goal to Vanessa Tsacos set the tone for the day and Brunswick never looked back. Mazenod fought hard and a cliffhanger last quarter saw the Renegades fall three points behind with ten minutes to go. Rachel calmly slotted a pressure goal with a couple of minutes remaining for a dramatic two point win. Duff, Bridge, Grace, Katie and Mandy all stood up when the pressure was on late in the game, with Goodsey, Rosie and Erin taking some great grabs up forward. The defense line of Lara, Jane and Ash all had a huge game as the last line of defense, constantly saving the day, where goals were very hard to come by. A great all-team effort got the reserves home with another win on the board.
