After a tight tussle in the first quarter the game opened up for the reserves as they attacked the ball throughout the midfield. Terrific ball-use inside 50 saw a dangerous half forward line, Lucy Schutk and Jeanette Le dominated in this role. Lara Bush was everywhere across the back line taking a dozen intercept marks that turned the game upside down. The ruck combination of Lisa Berg and Eliza Cole worked superbly as they directed the play creating link ups and opportunities to the mids, Laura Jones was in and under and gave plenty of outback hand options. Play of the day went to Ruby Cumming who took two bounces and a great sidestep, channeling her inner Dusty Martin to score her first ever goal.
