The Prems came out firing playing the returning Jess Brown at the opposite end of the ground and it spade off in spades, JB’s strong leads converted to multiple shots on goal in the opening term.

Palombi and Bella’s bruising ruck battle against a much bigger opponent coupled with tireless efforts from Woodhouse in the middle and Amy at half forward led to numerous inside 50’s, helping Kelly Dungate take a career high amount of overhead marks.

The backline led by Tahlia repelled every attack with style whilst Flick was a slingshot on the half forward not allowing the ball to leave and peppering the hot spot all day.

By the second half it became evident that our preseason program with Max Results was paying dividends with players outrunning their tiring opponents and winning the contest after contest. Thanks Matt and the Team for kicking our season off on a high!

The coaches were very excited to see all the work put in at training come to fruition (switches whooo!) and extremely proud that the players kept their cool against an opposition’s tactics and managed to keep them goalless for the whole game.
