Match Report
It was brilliant to have the Dragons around for the Prem’s game “Run out with a Renegade” on Saturday. The future Renegades joined in on the warmups, ran out with the team, took part in the huddles and provided some amazing chants from the bench throughout the day.
Out on the field it was a funny old day for football. The centre square was an absolute quagmire and the early shower just made it harder to have clean disposal of the footy.
Grace got us on the board early for what turned out to be our lone goal for the day whilst our mids slogged it out on a centre so soggy it even made the spectators legs ache.
Goodes was great in her first game for Prems, in and under every contest. Clarky continued their great form with another blinder in the middle.
It was fantastic to see Flick back on the park down back, stopping the entries in to their 50m time and time again, whilst Pia on the last line of defence stopped many a kick from going through the sticks.
In a congested, low scoring game RMIT applied pressure all day, never giving up and really taking it up to the Renos. The finals scores didn’t reflect the effort put in both teams as they walked off the ground exhausted with the Renegades victors by 7 points.
