Match Report
The Ressies ran out onto Gillon expecting a tough game as Mazenod had been averaging 12 goal wins for the first 3 weeks of the season. And from the first bounce it looked like it would be a bruising encounter.
The injury curse continued on from last week with 2 players down in the first 5 minutes but the support shown by the Renegade army really showed how how much of a family we are.
Captain LJ led from the front, with Anna and Molly running hard all day through the middle, whilst Stasi and Mel E took over ruck duties, giving their all in the air and following up at ground level.
With a depleted bench our resilient players were resting deep in the forward and backlines or often not even getting a rest at all.
Morgs, Jane and Bec were fantastic in defence, holding Mazenod to their lowest score of the season, only going down by 11 points.
It was a great contest and we look forward to playing them again later in the year.
