Following a tough game last week against Mazenod, the Reno’s were looking forward to the challenge from another top team in South Melbourne.

“The Bloods” came out strong and kicked ahead, but the Reno’s regrouped and kept the pressure up after quarter time, creating multiple opportunities.

LJ, Eliza and Mollie were in and under all day, whilst Bec, Kyla and Jane were tireless in defence, launching some great link-up play.

Goodsey unfortunately went down with a hamstring injury but not before kicking a great goal.

Mel Everett reaped the rewards of hard work at training, kicking a great set shot goal from a tight angle on the boundary.

We went down to a well drilled and creative team, but kept our structure and gave ourselves good opportunities. Heads held high, we look forward to next week.
