Match Report
When Housey, the Prems captain, showed up looking an odd shade of green, the rest of the team knew they needed to step up and take the lead. With an arctic wind blowing across the oval, it wasn’t getting any warmer. The field conditions weren’t improving, so it was sludge time!
Eliza Cole continues to carve her name into the stone of one of the strongest rucks in the competition. Time after time, winning the contest and breaking through the pack with players hanging off her, she is a force not to be messed with.
If you are looking for a wingwoman, Nikki and Dodger have got you covered. They will send your ball clean down the line signed, sealed and delivered. Footy managed to slip through the midfield and into the backline? Let Tahlia, Samara, aka Bumper, and Jose take the pressure off with consistent pack marks and long boots back into the action. The prems backline continued to keep the Richmond scoreboard at bay.
The Renegades carved out a slight lead early, with Snowy sneaking a ripper goal from the pack in the first quarter. However, harsh conditions and tough opponents stopped the forward lining from converting any more goals. It was another nail bitter in the final 5 minutes as the game was neck and neck; a few crucial one pointers was all that was needed to take out the Prems first win of the season.
