The heat continued to rise for the Prems game. An exciting debut from Kath playing her first prems game – another legendary roller derby recruit bringing formidable defensive skills to the game. We welcome our derby players with open arms, they bring incredible intensity on the field, and their off-field game is always on point too!

Speaking of intensity, you have to come and watch impressive new recruit Atoug, aka Dodger, take on the game like she has a score to settle! Second and third efforts breaking through the pack in the midfield. Grace Kendall flew into the game and took control of the wheels – directing plays and dominating the half-forward like only she knows how. Some close calls in the forward line in the second and third quarter from Kingi, and our little power pockets Goosey and Tbag, but the wind, the defence and the bounce were all too strong.

The backline had their work cut out for them with plenty of ball time in the defensive 50. It’s no surprise Snowy gets a mention every week in best players as her consistent efforts and energy around the play is commendable. Outstanding efforts in the full-back by Erin and well-controlled plays by Andie.

Plagued by injury by the 4th quarter, the bench was wiped, and the Prems were down to 16 on the field. While the scoreboard didn’t reflect the effort, the high spirits and determination to enjoy a good game of footy were unmatched.
