Match Report
The reserves were off to a tough start, with Ivanhoe scoring 3 fast goals early in the first quarter. A late-season debut from Sharpie showed she was worth the wait. It was textbook football for the first goal with a quick handball from Sharpie to Amy D, who snapped it straight through the posts. We’re looking forward to more action from this dynamic duo.
With some incredible pressure from the backline, Jess Stocko was everywhere she needed to be and played the game of a lifetime. Some extraordinary power moves from Keffo, who came through with a golden fist worthy spoil, keeping the scores at bay in the second half.
Kate “Mad Dog” Sullivan continues to lead the team through the middle with her footy smarts, and it was great to have Maddie Lakos back on the ball, causing havoc. A massive effort from Meg, who shows a big passion for the game in her first season. Meg had a blinder of a game, putting in 2nd, 3rd and 4th efforts every time.
In the true Renegade spirit of being the hardest team to beat, they never gave up and kept Ivanhoe to only 3 points in the second half. It was a tough final score, but the Reserves can keep their head held high, playing hard until the end.
