Match Report
Unfortunately, the pressure and intensity that brought Brunswick NOBSPC victory over Ivanhoe seven days before was not on display at a windswept PEGS Playing Fields on Saturday and, as a result, the game was pretty much over by quarter-time when the clean-skilled home team led 4.4 to 0.1.
For the rest of the game the effort was better, but an undermanned forward-line meant scoring was hard work, while PEGS tended to answer any goals promptly.
The loss was compounded by Old Parade’s upset win over St Mary’s – our opponent at home next week – which makes each of our last four games of the season crucial to our prospects of avoiding relegation.
Jeremy Nettlefold continued his good form to be our best on the day, while Pat Kelly, Chris Ford, Gerrard Bence and Lachlan Ezard battled hard and Kyle Adams played a lone hand in the forward line.
Be at Gillon Oval this week to cheer on the boys in their big game.
