Match Report
In the Women’s Premier Division, a super team effort by the Brunswick Renegades saw them record their third win for the season, defeating arch-rival Melbourne University by 40 points at Gillon Oval on Saturday.
A brilliant five-goal third quarter set up the win, with the Renegades applying relentless pressure on the Uni and then taking control of the game by making the most of the scoring opportunities.
Better players on the day were Milly in the ruck supported by the ever reliable Clare Woodhouse and our Canadian import Brooke Robinson. Captain Kelly Dungate led from the front kicking two goals and gathering 25 possessions (according to a family statistician) and Lilly O had her best game for the club running from half-back.
Next week is another big game against Old Xaverians to be played at Xavier College on Sunday at noon, so it would be great to have plenty of support as we hunt our fourth win!
