Round 1

It may have only been a round one game in Division Two, but the Brunswick NOBs recorded one their greatest wins against arch-rivals Old Paradians at Garvey Oval on Saturday.
Round 2

In ideal conditions at Gillon Oval on Saturday, Brunswick accounted for the newly merged Old Yarra Cobras comfortably enough, with the final margin of 3 goals 12 behinds probably telling the story of the game.
Round 3

Brunswick's perfect start to the season rolled on at Ted Ajani Reserve on Saturday as they recorded a convincing 10-goal victory over Bulleen Templestowe and moved to top-of-the-ladder in Division Two.
Round 4

Round 5

Playing at Aquinas College's no. 2 ground on a deck that wasn't just heavy, but genuinely bottomless, Brunswick NOBs survived a scare to come back from a 20-point deficit late in the third quarter to squeak home by five points against Aquinas Old Collegians on Saturday.
Round 6

Top-of-the-ladder Brunswick faced off against ninth-placed St Mary's Salesian at Gillon Oval on Saturday and, when the home side had three goals on the board in the opening six minutes of the game, before going on to lead by 36 points at quarter-time, it looked like a percentage-booster was on the cards, however, the complexion of the contest changed so much over the ensuing three quarters the NOBs were forced to batten down the hatches in the final term to secure a hard-fought 21-point win.
Round 7

In a see-sawing contest against a spirited, but inaccurate, Melbourne High School Old Boys at a picturesque Woodfull-Miller Oval on Saturday, Brunswick again found a way to win a close game and maintain their perch on top of the Division Two ladder.
Round 8

Brunswick's run of finding a way to win the close ones came to an unexpected end on Saturday as they coughed up a 19-point lead in the last quarter to go down to fellow top-four contender South Melbourne Districts in a game that went down to the wire at Albert Park.
Round 9

In wickedly windy conditions at Gillon Oval on Saturday, Brunswick bounced back from their narrow loss in the previous round to play some of their best football of the year on the way to recording their first victory over Whitefriars since 2017.
Round 10

Round 11

On a typical midwinter Saturday Brunswick got the job done in convincing fashion over Aquinas at Gillon Oval with a comfortable 79-point win.
Round 12

It wasn’t pretty, but Brunswick brought home the four points and some extra percentage with a comprehensive win over cellar-dwellers St Mary’s Salesian at Ferndale Park on Saturday.
Round 13

In unseasonably ideal conditions at Gillon Oval, Brunswick asserted their dominance over Bulleen Templestowe for the second time this season, running out convincing 58-point winners on Saturday. It wasn't all one-way traffic though – just after halftime only a point separated the sides – but with a brilliant eight-goal third term the NOBs put the game to rest and displayed some encouraging form as they build-up to playing finals.
Round 14

A disappointing performance by Brunswick against a well-organised Old Yarra Cobras at Koonung Park on Saturday resulted in a 38-point defeat and sees them clinging to second spot on the ladder, but only a game ahead of fifth.
Round 15

On a hard and fast track, Brunswick eventually prevailed over fourth-placed South Melbourne Districts in a close, entertaining contest at Gillon Oval on Saturday.
Round 16

In the early stages of this game there was more action behind the glass in the matchday luncheon than on Gillon Oval, then the two old rivals started to trade shots, before Brunswick finally found some fluency and put their foot down in the second-half to run out six-goal victors over Old Paradians on Saturday.
Round 17

Brunswick's great modern-day rivalry with Whitefriars was reignited on Saturday at Donvale, with the home side fresh off a win over ladder-leaders Parkside and chasing a finals spot, while the NOBs were looking to secure the double-chance, and the game lived up to expectations, as it was nip-and tuck all day until Friars showed greater composure in red-time in the final term to take the win.
Round 18

After some nervy moments at Gillon Oval on Saturday, Brunswick navigated their way to a top-two finish in season 2023 with a strong finish to their round 18 clash with a game Melbourne High School Old Boys, despite losing a trio of tall players to leg injuries along the way.
2nd Semi Final

It may have been a glorious spring day at Bill Lawry Oval – the best time and place to be playing our great game – but Brunswick were cursing the footy gods on Saturday as a recent spate of injuries meant they ran out without at least six of their usual starting 18 to face Parkside in the second semi-final and, while the NOBs battled hard on the day, they were never really in the contest. But, thank god, there is the double-chance!

Preliminary Final

In pursuit of a grand final berth, an undermanned Brunswick threw everything they had at Old Yarra Cobras at Garvey Oval on Sunday and closed to within a goal midway through the final quarter, but it was the Cobras who had greater composure in the end to take the game by 20 points.
