The Brunswick Football Club welcomes the return to training plans from AFL Victoria and the Victorian Amateur Football Association. To maintain a safe environment upon our return to training we are in the process of putting processes in place to allow us to strictly adhere to the protocols outlined by the governing bodies. This will take some time and will require understanding and patience from all our members upon our return to training.

At this stage, the club is planning to return to training on Monday June the 1st, 2020 for the Renegades and Tuesday June the 2nd for the N.O.B’s as per the VAFA guidelines. We are also working with the Brunswick Junior Football Club to ensure ground availability and timing works for all equally.

A full list of guidelines will be given to players and coaches before that date but there will be no access to the club rooms for changing and no treatment will be available from trainers. Groups will be limited to a maximum of 10 and only 2 groups will be allowed on the ground(s) at any time. Scheduled times for training will be strictly enforced and going over time or starting a session early will not be available. The club also encourages all players, coaches, and volunteers to download the COVIDSafe App to help in tracing the spread of COVID-19.

“Get in, Train, Get out”

It might only be training, but it’s good to be back! A return to play date has not been given and we await decisions on the 2020 season from the governing bodies.

Please look out for more detailed guidelines in the coming week or so.
