The Brunswick Renegades have enjoyed a successful season in 2015. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish the season off with a win in the Grand Final, but we have still had a great year on and off the field.

We finished the season in third place on the ladder, with all teams in the top 4 notching up 9 wins. After being knocked out of the finals in straight sets last season we won our first two finals and progressed into the Grand Final. Unfortunately South Morang were too strong for us on the day and were deserving premiership winners.

For the second year running we completed a clean sweep of the awards at the VWFL presentation night. Adele Brazenor won Best and Fairest and Esther Hassett took out Leading Goal Kicker (also finishing 3rd in Best and Fairest).

Our presentation night was held in early September, congratulations to our winners in 2015:

  • Best and Fairest – Adele Brazenor
  • Runner Up Best and Fairest – Kate Sullivan
  • Leading Goal Kicker – Esther Hassett
  • Player’s Player – Caroline Duffield
  • Coaches Award – Monica Gray
  • Club Person Award – Kim Hennessy

Off the field we have been very busy and the committee put in a tremendous effort to ensure the team ran smoothly. We have had several sponsors come on board in 2015 and from 2016 we will an official jumper sponsor in the Victoria Hotel.
