In the space of two short years, Brendan Wills has already ingrained himself into the very fabric of NOBSPC. Sure he’s a good talker, has sure hands on the field and once kicked 70.23 in a season (you didn’t know? Hard to believe)…but it’s his celebrity status that has given him the most spotlight. His appearance on “Taken Out” has provided many, including this column, with plenty of material (and with no end in sight), and whilst he denies it, one suspects ole Willsy doesn’t mind one little bit about it being talked about so often.

However now there are rumours of unrest in the Wills camp. In light of “fitness” coach Alex Gunn‘s CONFIRMED relationship with an ex-Big Brother housemate, there are reports that Willsy is concerned he’s losing his mantle as THE celebrity amongst the playing and coaching group, and isn’t getting the attention he needs and desires.

Which is why to help him out, we’re floating some ideas for your feedback, on the options available to win back the hearts and minds of the club faithful, by getting back front and centre with tv viewers.

Suggestions:

Plan A: Pitch to Channel 7 a rival to “Farmer Wants a Wife” with , “Willsy Wants a Wife”… Set in Horsham it could involve a day at the footy with St Mick’s (eye-opening) to reminisce about the 70.23 year, a romantic lunch down on Firebrace St, and of course a sunset picnic down by the river.

Plan B: Pitch to Channel 9 as a rival to the Cousins Doco. But instead this is grass roots footy, and one man’s battle with his hamstrings and shin-splints, not to mention overcoming a weird facial hair addiction. Working title is “Such is Willsy”.

Plan C: Pitch to Channel 10 to help return “Before the Game” to its previous heights, but bringing back a Strauchanie type character…only this time it’s another big name from Horsham, Brendan Wills!

NOBPSC Confidential is hopeful that one of these will get off the ground, but to choose the right option, we also welcome further suggestions.
