In Saturday's warm sunshine there was a feeling that finals arrived a week early at Lindsay Hassett Oval, which was fully embraced by South Melbourne Districts as they sought to give themselves a chance at finishing second, while Brunswick failed to withstand the Swans' high-pressure game for the second time this season, going down by 16 points.
Round 17
With finals a fortnight away, Brunswick were keen to return to their winning ways in their last home game of the season on Saturday but to do so needed to more than double their score in the last quarter against Melbourne High School Old Boys who were tenacious to the end.
Round 16
In spring-like weather at Whitefriars College on Saturday, an under-strength Brunswick were thrashed by their likely second semi-final opponent in a disappointing display.

Round 14
Under the not particularly bright lights of Ted Ajani Reserve, Brunswick ground out a hard-earned 19-point win over a gallant Bulleen-Templestowe on a cold, and at times very wet, Saturday night to go four games clear on top of the Division Two ladder.
Round 13
On a bitterly cold and wet Saturday afternoon at Gillon Oval, top-of-the-ladder Brunswick did enough to overcome a spirited Aquinas outfit fighting to avoid relegation, eventually holding on by 12 points.
Round 12
The match-of-the-day lived up to its billing at Gillon Oval in Pride Round on Saturday as Brunswick, nine points down at the 15-minute mark of the last quarter to second-on-the-ladder Elsternwick, unleashed a brilliant finishing burst of six unanswered goals to run out 28 points winners, going two-and-a-half wins clear on top in the process.
Round 11

Round 9
At the picturesque postage stamp that is Rathmines Road Reserve in leafy Hawthorn, Brunswick faced some nervous moments on Saturday before eventually overcoming the inaccurate Hawks, courtesy of a dominant third quarter, to keep their unbeaten run going in 2024.
Round 8
On another ideal day for footy at Gillon Oval, Brunswick scrapped their way to an eighth-straight win over modern-day archrivals Whitefriars on Saturday, who fought the game out to the end.
Round 7
In ideal conditions at Gillon Oval on Saturday Division Two pacesetters Brunswick put Bulleen Templestowe to the sword, to the tune of 111 points, with two of their big guns in Hayden Parker and Rowan Hogenbirk chalking up 15 majors between them, while debutant Ben Marchionna chipped in for four second-half goals of his own.
Round 6
Brunswick accounted for a young Aquinas outfit comfortably enough on Saturday at a chilly Ringwood to remain undefeated, but the scoreboard didn't tell the real story of the game, for it was the umpiring display that was the subject of most discussion on the day due to its utter bizarreness – bamboozling players, coaches and spectators alike.
Round 5
With the ladder leader in Brunswick playing bottom side St Mary’s Salesian at Gillon Oval on Saturday the expectations may have been for a one-sided encounter, but what we got instead was a cracking contest that remained in the balance until the final 10 minutes when the home side kicked the last two goals of the game to scramble to a 24-point win.
Round 4

Round 2
Back at Gillon Oval for the first time in eight months, Brunswick were slow to start against Hawthorn Amateurs before some good fortune aided them in getting their noses in front at halftime, followed by a third quarter for the ages with ten goals to zip to blow the contest apart and rise to the top of the ladder after round 2.
Round 1
In an entertaining game played in ideal conditions on an unfamiliar ground, Brunswick held a tenacious, but inaccurate, Elsternwick at bay by 21 points to begin the 2024 season in winning style.
