In another exciting addition to the coaching group, Sam Bishop has agreed to be a non-playing assistant coach for season 2017. Sam has been involved with Kew AFC as a playing assistant coach for the past 4 seasons. During that time, Sam played in 3 premierships which saw their dramatic rise from D3 to Premier C in the VAFA. Previously, Sam has played at St.Kevin’s Old Boys and Strathmore football clubs. A very reliable and attacking backman, Sam won the SKOB B&F award in 2011. He was also part of their leadership group and represented the VAFA in the B to D4 team.

Coach Luke Mahoney was delighted to have secured Sam, “It is a great coup for our footy club to have Sam involved next season. He was a very good VAFA footballer and has learnt a lot as a playing coach at Kew over the last 4 years that will be very beneficial to our playing group.”

Paul Greenham will wind back his commitments in 2017, but we hope to see him in some capacity on match day. From all at Brunswick NOBSPC we would like to thank Greeny for his work as an assistant coach in 2016. Greeny brought a lot of passion, knowledge and enthusiasm to the club which kept us on course until the ‘Great Escape’ concluded. The senior coaching group is now complete with Dene Rodger returning as fitness coach and Matt Roberts helping on match day.
