Brunswick Football Club is seeking applications for the role of Senior Coach for our men’s team for 2025.

The Brunswick Football Club competes in Division One of the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). With a rich history dating back to 1963 as North Old Boys, renamed Brunswick to align with the new one club mentality with our women’s and junior programs. Brunswick plays at A.G. Gillon Oval, an impressive ground with large rooms, grandstand, gym and recently renovated club rooms. The club shares a great connection with the local community and businesses, as well as the Brunswick Junior Football Club.

We have a young and promising playing list, with the core demographic of our group falling within the 18-28 age bracket, along with a number of quality senior leaders. An enormously strong junior program is also about to have a significant impact on the clubs’ playing numbers as 1 point players. The club’s vision is to solidify its position in Division 1 and challenge for finals in 2025.

The key focus for the successful applicant principal duties will include:

  • Implement effective player policies, team rules and code of conducts to uphold the reputation and aspirations
    of the Club.
  • Provide game day coaching expertise and leadership.
  • Design, instruct and attend weekly pre-season and in-season training sessions.
  • Ensure a consistent club coaching policy & strategy is applied.
  • Provide regular individual and group player feedback.
  • Engage with the Brunswick Football community through attendance at relevant post-game functions and
    fundraising events.
  • Engage with the junior football club to ensure a smooth transition from junior to senior ranks.
  • Engage with the women’s football program to maintain and develop our One-Club Policy
  • Prior experience in coaching is required, and you are expected to have attained or willing attain at a
    minimum the Level 1 AFL Victoria coaching accreditation with the thought around moving towards a
    Level 2 coaching accreditation.

recruits.
