43 New Players Presented Jumpers

On Wednesday the Renegades leadership team was announced with some familiar and newer faces appointed into leadership roles.

Captaining the Senior side (to play in Premier B) is 200-game stalwart, multiple Best & Fairest winner, a founding player of the Renegades and hard inside mid, Clare Woodhouse. She’s joined by forward Kelly Dungate, also part of the founding team, 2016 Club Person awardee and a returning vice-captain from 2017, and Felicity Smith, a 2017 debutant and strong backline leader.

The Reserves (playing in the newly formed Premier B Reserves) will be captained by Pia Salvatore, who joined the Renegades in 2017 and quickly impressed with her footy smarts and strong voice. She’s joined by the fast running, cool and calm Laura Jones and, one of the fiercest tacklers in the competition and passionate Renegade, Mariana “Maz” Navarro.

An amazing 43 new players were also officially welcomed to the Club and presented with their jumpers.

Congratulations to our team leaders on their appointments and to all our new players joining the Renegades in 2018. With such a healthy and strong list, both teams are looking forward to a competitive 2018.
