It has been a massive week for NOBSPC life member and club legend Peter Hevey!

AFL Season Launch

Earlier in the week Heves represented the club, along with Leonie Kroehnert from the Renegades, at the AFL’s 2015 Season launch at Etihad where he joined AFL captains for a very special group photo. See some footage of the day on the AFL Footy Feed.

VAFA Certificate of Merit

Then on Thursday night at the VAFA Sportscover 2015 Season Launch, Heves was awarded a a Certificate of Merit from the VAFA. A VAFA Certificate of Merit Award is just a small token of appreciation to the men and women who keep their clubs or organisations going all for the love of the game. Here is what was said about Heves on the night –

Peter has served continuously on the committee of North Old Boys since 1994, spending time as Secretary and Vice President. He has spent six seasons as a team manager and has concurrently managed the canteen and facilities of the club for the past 15 years and counting. Peter managed a 63 game career as a wiry ruckman through the 1980s and early 1990s before becoming a club umpire for NOBs. Peter’s pleasant personality, willingness to help and loyalty have endeared him to everyone he meets.
