New Recruits

Over the past few weeks we have had a number of new players wonder down to the Gillon and recently we ticked over the 70 mark for players who have trained so far this preseason.

Given the amount of new players that have come through the doors, below we have given you a brief rundown of a few of them. More info to come about these blokes in coming weeks in the lead up to round 1.

Liam Scale
Key position/Ruck who in 2010/11 played TAC on and off as well as Mansfield 18’s, 2012 played half a year for Mansfield seniors and 2013 played for Uni blues reserves. Had a year off last year due to knee problems and heading overseas.

Tim Dyer
Big-bodied midfielder/flanker who has played most of his footy for Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault in the SWFL in WA. Won flags in 2008, 2009. Played for Bentleigh in SFL last year. Also has spent time playing/teaching the game in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Declan Ganz
Hasn’t played a game of footy for about 4 years because of a couple of knee reconstructions. Before that however, he played senior footy for Irymple Football Club in the Sunraysia League before moving to Melbourne to start uni. Predominatly a forward who won a couple of club and league BnFs for Irymple.

Will Peart
Another lad from the Sunraysia area having played Under 18s/Seniors for Red Cliffs.

Parris Sloan
Has crossed from Uni Blacks and has shown experience and dedication from his first night on the track.

Thomas Butler
An ex-Barooga boy (following in the footsteps of fellow Murray River legend Tim Halpin) who played seniors from a young age. He then moved to Melbourne and played U/19s and a few senior games for Marcellin while they were in C grade.
