In further exciting recruiting news NOBSPC have secured the services of 3 very handy footballers.

It is with great pleasure that we can officially announce Simon Hayes as the next major recruit for NOBSPC in 2015.

“Hayesy” will come to NOBS in 2015 as he looks to reside in Melbourne after growing up in the small township of Beaufort with current NOBS players (former captain Simon Harwood and 2012 premiership player Chris Horsley), before spending 2.5 years as an ex-pat in London and more recently Adelaide.

“Hayesy” will join the nobbery adding great foot skills and an ability to spread from the midfield and wings.

  • 175 Club Game Player at the Beaufort Crows Football Club.
  • 2012 London Swans Best and Fairest Winner.
  • Sacred Heart Football Club in the SAAFL 2014

Along with Hayesy is his good mate Scott Thomas.

Scotty “Shreka” Thomas also grew up in Beaufort with current players/coaches Horze, Simmo and Hayesy whilst attending BCC in Ballarat with Horze, Sauce and Timmy Weaver. Shreka has returned from spending a couple of years abroad in the UK and has recently settled down in Spotswood and looks forward to a big 2015.

“Shreka” will join the nobbery adding great thirst for the contest and strong flexibility to play tall up forward, down back or in the ruck.

  • 140 Game Player at the Beaufort Crows Football Club.
  • Ballarat and Clarendon 2006 First XVIII Member

Finally Michael Dennis has come on board.

Michael Dennis is another very handy recruit for the club in 2015. He is a former captain of Mt Waverley, made the SFL rep team in 2014 and was in the best 11 times in 2014. This write up was given when he was awarded the player of the round-

“Michael has been in outstanding form this year and his hot streak continued as he gathered countless possessions in Mount Waverley’s demolition of South Yarra. Michael has now been named in the best 10 times this year and he will certainly play a key role for Mount Waverley at the business end of the season.”

Friend Chris ‘Junior’ Coleman describes Dennis in a slightly different way –

“A midfielder who is good on both sides, & good in traffic. Will run all day and drink all night. Good story teller.”

All three boys, along with other recruit Tom Hartney, will greatly improve our quality and depth. We look forward to having the boys down at the club and being a part of the future success!

Watch this space for more announcements in regards to other recruits we are talking to!
