Brunswick NOBSPC1 currently plays in Division 1 of the VAFA and would like to encourage post-secondary students to come down to the large expanses of the Alex Gillon Oval (Victoria St, Brunswick) to play senior football in 2016. The change of name to “Brunswick” within the club’s name is a reflection of the greater alignment with the local community and the initiatives the Club has undertaken in the past 5 years.

Since 2010 the club has established both a Junior Club (Brunswick Dragons U8’s to U16 = 9 teams) and a new women’s Team (Brunswick Renegades). So we now have all teams covered from junior, senior and women, while 2015 also represented the first U15 girls’ team for the Dragons. Along this journey the Club has won three (3) reserves premierships (2008–2010), Senior (2012), Junior (U12 & U13) and this year the Renegades participated in their first Grand final in the Victorian Women’s Football League.

In terms of senior football club the Club currently has three (3) senior teams and are looking to progress through the VAFA grades over the next few seasons. With high quality facilities, support staff and networks (two grandstands, gym, ice baths, qualified physio’s, meals on Thursday night, Coterie Group for parents and supporters), the Club is a great place to be for both players and parents. Many of our players are tertiary students, so we understand the context of study, training and part time work.

As the above initiatives demonstrate, Brunswick NOBSPC is a progressive and inclusive club that welcomes all new players, senior & junior, men & women in a positive and respectful environment. As the end of your junior career approaches you may seek to play in a different environment at a senior level in one of the largest competitions (75 teams) within the metropolitan area. Brunswick NOBSPC can provide you with this opportunity.

Pre-season commences on 23 November (6.15pm) at Clifton Oval, Victoria Street with a qualified fitness coach, breaking for Christmas before returning in late January.

All details will be on our web site or contact senior coach Luke Mahoney or Recruiting Manager Todd Patterson. Look forward to seeing you at Gillon Oval in 2016!

1 North Old Boys St Patricks College – North Old Boys F.C. was formed in 1963 to cater for students from St Joseph’s College North Melbourne (senior college) & Pascoe Vale (junior campus). Both campuses closed in 2010. The alignment with St. Patricks College Ballarat (2006) was formed to provide access for students relocating from Ballarat to Melbourne.
