In a faraway place called Ferntree Gully.

Do you have a nickname and why?
Jeff. A resident once misheard me say my name and kept calling the office looking for ‘Jeff the health inspector’ and it just kinda stuck after that.

Where did you go to School?
Tintern Grammar….we had a farm. Now I can flip a sheep and ride horses. But there was also a burn book… yes… that sort of Burn Book. I never found out what my page said…

What has been your greatest sporting achievement?
I won ‘junior club girl’ at netball as a kid. It’s the only trophy I have that wasn’t an encouragement or participation award. I’ve also played in 5 netball grand finals.

Best personal on ground highlight in a Renegades game?
I knocked over a pretty tall person once. Made me feel like a powerful rhino. Or an overly excited large dog.

Have you had any major injuries?
Cracked and bruised ribs twice and a broken finger. Though my best one was skiing on a school camp where I broke my coccyx. Now my butt can feel changes in the weather.

What position do you play?
Back pocket. I like to chase people…

AFL/AFLW team?
Bulldogs x 2.

Favourite player in the AFL/AFLW?
Ellie Blackburn and Caleb Daniel.

Best thing about playing for Brunswick?
The fact that someone like me, whose greatest talents are not in sport, is given the opportunity, the support to play a game I love. All types of humans are welcome in the Renegades. Everyone brings something different to the team, and together we are amazing.

Best Renegades player seen on the field at Brunswick?
Well we are all great in our own ways, but I’m going to say Maddie Lakos. I like to watch how hard they go at the ball in all games and plays, but also how they encourage and support their teammates by always letting you know what’s going on. Also has had two fractures – and kept soldiering on afterwards.

Best Renegades player seen off the field at Brunswick?
This is a tough one – as I’m notoriously anti-social – but I’m gonna say Teabag. Always committed to the cause and the fireball shots, and most importantly the silly Saturday costumes.

Professional career and current location?
I’m an Environmental Health Officer (fancy name for Health Inspector) at the City of Casey in good ole Narre Warren. Yes I see disgusting things. Yes people hate me. No I can’t tell you where is safe to eat. And yes I have seen Bobs Burgers and I also have a sexy thermometer gun. Pew pew.

Do you have a pre-game ritual?
I like dramatically ripping off my tear away trackies while making eye contact with someone…
