Dear Brunswick FC Community (North Old Boys)

Mary Therese Sexton, mother of North Old Boys Brendan (Secco) Sexton, passed away peacefully in her sleep just after midnight on 7th August 2020.

Mary was born on 19th April 1928, married Tom Sexton (Dec), had 5 children (4 boys and 1 girl) and lived in Glenroy most of her life.

Mary spent the final 2 years of her life at Nazareth House Nursing Home in Camberwell.

Brendan/Secco was one of North Old Boys more colourful characters playing NOBs Juniors, U19 & Senior/Resi football from the mid 1970s to 1990.

Secco captained NOBs U15 & U17 teams (when they existed), was a member of NOBs all conquering 1978 U19 Div 1 Premiers and represented St Joes Nth Melb College in ACC Football and Athletics.

A Player, Committee Member, Player’s (talentless) Review participant and owner “The Green Esky” his infamous green Ford Panel Van.
