Dear Members and Supporters, welcome to 2018!

We can report that there has been plenty of activity in the off-season as our new Committee, led by Co-Presidents Jarryd Browne and Kim Hennessy, have enthusiastically set about launching our new name and planning for the season ahead.

The wonderful thing about our Committee is that in addition to truly representing all parts of our Club – which this year will be fielding Men’s and Women’s seniors and reserves, plus a Club XVIII and Under 19s – it is united in wanting to see us prosper as Brunswick Football Club in the VAFA.

We have a great new Club logo, with the North Old Boys’ griffin inside the Brunswick Renegades’ shield, and a brand-new website. It looks fantastic and will be brilliant for our members and supporters wanting to stay abreast of happenings at the Club, connect with our sponsors or perhaps just browse through some historical data.

Our Men’s and Women’s teams are well into their pre-season training ahead of Round 1 on 7 April and are nearing practice matches (we will keep you informed of the dates and venues in the coming weeks).

Incredibly, our Women’s list has already reached its cap of 90 players! Coaches Leonie Kroehnert and Andy Ryan are doing a great job managing huge numbers at training.

The Men’s numbers may not be as large just yet, but coaches Anthony Palmer and Peter Carter like the commitment they are seeing from a strong core of players.

The Junior Club has also reported that it is expecting 340-plus players this year, which means that AG Gillon Oval is going to one busy place!

This season promises to be a special one for our Club. We hope as many of you as possible will join us in some capacity, whether as a player, volunteer, donor, sponsor or supporter.
