Brunswick NOBSPC are delighted to announce that Michael Giansiracusa has agreed to join us as an assistant coach for 2017. Michael joins us after a successful playing career at Port Melbourne, St.Kevin’s Old Boys and Balranald.

An Assumption boy, Michael joined St. Kevins in the under 19s and made an instant impact winning the goal kicking award in a premiership side. From there he played senior footy in A grade including the 2001 Grand Final, a stint at Port Melbourne in the VFL and going home to Balranald winning a premiership before injuries started to get the better of him. In total Michael won 6 senior goal kicking awards at SKOB.

Last year he started his coaching career, coaching the SKOB Masters to the finals in their inaugural season. Coach Luke Mahoney was very happy when Michael agreed to be involved,

“Michael was a very talented and smart footballer and is keen to be involved in a coaching capacity. We are very fortunate to have him on board as he will add enormous value with his experience and background. The forward line is one area that we need to improve in 2017 and Michael will play a big part in helping our forwards.”

All at Brunswick NOBSPC would like to welcome Michael, his wife Erin and their 3 children (with one on the way!)
