Match Report
The battle of 2nd vs 3rd was a bruising encounter from the first bounce with both teams giving their all in a classic game of tough footy.
Spectators were treated to desperate mud slides, crunching tackles and epic bumps.
A magnificent mark by Amy D running back with the flight of the ball and somehow miraculously not falling over the goal line led to the first Reno goal of the arvo.
Andie was playing an absolute blinder until the loss of a contact lens sent her off worried that the lack of a spare may have ended her game. Amazingly a spectator behind our bench not only had spares, but also had the exact prescription needed allowing Andie to continue her on-field dominance.
At half time the junior Dragons were welcomed into the war room to hear coach Hennessy’s address, it’s always exciting to have the future Renegades around the team.
Gem was absolutely everywhere, in and under packs whilst Katie M excelled at shutting down an opponent who’d scored 3 first half goals.
The dim sim eating boundary umpire’s perseverance was the final highlight of the day, drawing cheers from both on and off the field when their final throw in finally made it to the rucks.
We’ll meet The Bloods back on their turf in round 12 for hopefully more ripping footy.
