Match Report
The cold conditions dropped a little more as the Seniors took the oval. The first quarter was costly with the Renegades scoring four behinds. The midfield kept up their momentum and remained strong as they have been doing in the last few rounds, closing in on the Collegians and shutting out the runs down field.
Tahlia Hayes put her shepherding skills to good use around the ball and as always putting her body on the line. Yvette Hart showed up to the game ready for festivities later but looking ever so glamorous on field. The backline remains the best in the VAFA (according to sources) with no marks getting into the forward fifty, clearances under pressure were also all class. In the fourth quarter the team answered the coaches and won the ball and clawed back the margin to twenty points.
Ange Snowy/Snowbell Snowden kicked a sensational goal from a very tight angle in the pocket, with Disco ‘In’ Ferno Speechley adding to the scoreboard as well. Keeping the opposition scoreless in the last quarter the Renegades showed their fighting spirit.
