Match Report
In a late start on Saturday in cold conditions the Renegades had a doubleheader in Albert Park against Collegians Football Club. The purple and green could be seen from the sidelines as the fans sat in the chilly conditions cheering the teams on. We love a Renegade Brigade.
The Reserves were impressive with their hard tackling and great link up play during majority of the game. The goal of the year was scored from deep in the back pocket, sailing through the posts without touching the ground. JP was an impenetrable wall in defense and the forwards worked hard to make space and kicked a whopping six goals and could have had six more with a bit of luck.
Grace Duncan and Kara dominated the ruck and served the midfield for clearance after clearance. Ruby Cumming persevered through four attempts at goal to finally kick one and also managing to give Aoife Johnston a nice shiner. A win to the Renegades should set the reserves up nicely for a place in the finals in the coming weeks.
